Welcome to the Home of the Chocolate German Shepherd

  Galaxy

Chocolate dog also known as a brown german shepherd

  Galaxy

Galaxy Chocolategsd 2 months old

Galaxy Chocolategsd 4 months old

Galaxy was born and bred in the UK,Both her parents have fantastic temperaments,

neither parent is Liver.

Both Parents are fully Kennel Club Registered,Both hip tested with good results,

Mum longcoated BVA HS 6/6 competes in Agility and Has gained many rosettes.

Dad "A Normal hips" has competed in the show ring Awarded V3 Adult male, Schutzhund SchH2(Kk I1)Lbz Breed surveyed for Life Koerung, especially recommended for breeding and is Heamophillia clear.

Galaxy is a liver pup born from two carriers of the gene.

Apart from her colour she is no different than any other German Shepherd.

People say this colour carries health problems. There is no proof of this!

Galaxy is in perfect health mentally and physically, and so are her parents. In time Galaxy will have Hip/Elbow tests done and DNA Certified, any futher tests deemed necessary will be done when they can be afforded.

In my personal opinion of the Liver colour,I prefer to call the colour CHOCOLATE or Brown simply because when you look at a piece of liver, the colour of it does not look like the actual colour of my dog,a bar of chocolate is more the colour of my dog,

When young, Galaxy was quite a bit lighter in shade than she is now,her mantle however, is developing lighter than the rest of her!but her body coat at the moment is darkening,in her pictures i am hoping to show how her coat has changed as she ages.

When younger i was a hairdresser maybe this is why i have such a passion for colour.

I find Chocolate to be very easy on the eye,

Galaxy was born with blue eyes, which have turned green ,they will probably develop into Light brown possibly dark amber.as she ages.

When first born Galaxy's eye-rim's, nose, lip's and pad's were pink, these too are turning to brown shades now and will darken even more.

For those of you who are interested in this colour i hope my information has been useful.
